War for Peace vs. War against Peace.
The world has been singing the song of war ever since it was born up to this age. We sure would like to hear a new song, a song of peace. But who do we have to compose the lyrics and play the music when all our artists are intoxicated? When the canons of war are not heard, they are only being reloaded or made more powerful. The sound of the canon of war makes the ears bleed and the heart skip a beat, but the sound of the flute of peace would charm the ears and give the heart an extra beat
There can be no such thing as “war for peace”, but rather “war against peace”, for peace and war seem to dwell in two different worlds. However, the hypocrites of our time pretend to want peace; but each time they sit down to talk peace, you can be sure another war is being brewed. “Put your fallen tooth under your pillow and the Tooth Fairy shall give you a dollar for it”. This is the cliché of those making believe they are fighting for peace when they are rather fighting against peace.
Take a moment to reflect and see if there had ever been a period of peace in the world ever since it was created up to this day. There have always been wars between the different nations sharing the planet and even among the people of a same nation, all for the sake of power, dominance, and superiority. It seems that the mankind is irreversibly addicted to war, and the spirit of peace that could rehab them is an absent ingredient in their makeup. Peace is only an illusion, a dream; a pretense between strong allies; a fake friendship with an expiration date to powerless nations in exchange for their natural resources after they have been administered a submission pill. Those who refuse to swallow the pill are labeled enemies, rebels, and face the disastrous wrath of war.
All the mighty weapons that have ever been created, from the wooden spear of the “Early Homo Sapiens” to the nuclear bombs of the smartest “Modern man” were and are hardly for peace maintenance, but rather to intimidate, subdue, and exterminate those that refuse to share their natural wealth and submit to the dominance and exploitation of predators to preserve their human rights. Peace is known only by those that are dead, for their eyes can no longer see and their ears, hear more cruelties; their minds are freed from fear and worries, and their bodies, from hostile feelings and emotions. That is the only way wars seem to promote peace, as you fall dead on the battle field. So, one can only find peace through war. To find it otherwise seems very unlikely.
During the course of existence, we have seen many nations rise and fall as powerful. Many had mismanaged or abused their power, or have been too wicked and destructive toward others. Invasion of territories and exploitation, oppression, and extermination of their inhabitants and natural resources, along with civil wars caused by political instability have been the misconducts that had led to their downfall. Present powerful nations are still engaging the same path of destruction despite our so-called advanced intelligence and self-tagged “civilized world. But the more intelligent we are the more uncivilized and reckless we seem to be. The spear of the “Homo sapiens only killed or harmed one person at a time while one atomic bomb of the “modern man” destroyed a whole Hiroshima, and one nuclear bomb can erase the whole world. Does that make us more civilized? As the human, it seems, gets more intelligent, the spirit of peace deserts him. And war, my friends, war, I lament, will eventually take all to extinction.
I know, peace cannot be found in this world, my friends, but I’m still wishing you all “Peace”
